At Egardia, we believe it’s important to run our business with respect for people, animals, the environment, and society. Since the very beginning, sustainability has been part of who we are, from how we design and produce our products to how we ship packages, handle returns, and process defective items.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
All our products are designed by Egardia and produced by our trusted manufacturing partners. Safety and health are top priorities for both us and our partners, which is why we follow strict safety and health policies.
We are committed to protecting the environment by reducing pollution and adhering to the People First philosophy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees involved in our production process. We strive to provide a safe and healthy workplace that prevents injuries and promotes well-being.
To transport our goods to Europe, we collaborate with logistics partner Kühne & Nagel, who share our commitment to sustainable operations. They actively work to minimize their environmental impact, compensating for unavoidable CO₂ emissions since 2020 and proactively reducing the carbon footprint of their suppliers including airlines, shipping lines, and transport companies, by 2030.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING & RECYCLED PLASTICS
Egardia’s newest products come in fully plastic-free packaging made from recycled cardboard and paper. The products themselves are crafted using 70% Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) material, creating a durable, eco-friendly design with a beautifully elegant matte finish.
The kit provides essential protection and can easily be expanded with additional accessories. This means customers can customize their system to fit their specific security needs, ensuring no components go to waste.
All accessories use replaceable batteries designed for extra-long lifespan thanks to smart energy-saving technology. For example, a motion sensor only activates when no movement has been detected in the previous minute, reducing unnecessary power use. Even with frequent activity, the device temporarily pauses to save battery life, extending the product’s overall durability.
And when moving to a new home, your alarm system moves with you. Simply uninstall the devices, update your address in your Egardia account, and reconnect the system in your new home, safe and secure again within minutes.
FULFILMENT
Order logistics are handled by Montapacking, an e-commerce company managing logistics for over 1,000 online stores. Operating from several independent warehouses, Montapacking processes and ships orders worldwide. All orders placed before midnight in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany are delivered early the next day. Montapacking also actively supports social responsibility by collaborating with organizations such as Sterk@Werk and SOVAK. At least 10% of Montapacking’s workforce consists of people with a distance to the labour market, offering them valuable job opportunities.
